Witnesses

Rem Art Space is hosting ‘Witnesses’ exhibition between 11th of December 2015 and 10th of January 2016. Exhibition gathers paintings, photographs and collages that composed with multiple techniques. Time accelerates, as it reaches our days, for we posses a variety of techniques. While human express himself/ herself with these techniques, it also becomes a witness of different events. Being a witness, as written down to time or as individual diaries, is accumulated

in memories within our lives. To put it other words, the moments that we witness or come across are planned as extents in our minds. The orientation ability of humans to social change is linked to the concept of ‘active forgetting’ as Nietzsche claims. That on the one hand, makes the content of individual definitions meaningless; on the other hand, anonymise being an eyewitness.

‘Witnesses’ exhibition will form a unity at the togetherness of individual and social moments.
